Energi Danmark entered into a partnership with the Danish Red Cross Youth in 2013. The partnership is in line with our ambition to take responsibility for the society we are part of and to "pass on the energy" to future generations.
The partnership with the Danish Red Cross Youth spans several levels. In addition to financial support, Energi Danmark employees also visit and attend one of the RCY summer camps. The holiday camps are run by volunteers and the purpose is to provide positive holiday experiences for children and young people who, for various reasons, would otherwise not be going on holiday.
The Danish Red Cross Youth is Denmark's largest humanitarian youth organisation, with more than 4,000 volunteers, 200 ongoing projects and 75 local development projects throughout the country. The RCY works to improve conditions and everyday life for vulnerable children and young people locally, nationally and internationally. RCY projects include homework cafeterias, summer camps, mentoring projects, telephone services for young people, sports and health projects, support for children and young people at refugee and crisis centres, clubs, homework help for young offenders, international exchange and development programmes and much more.
