Valuable Forecasts for Nykøbing Sjælland Heating Plant
Nykøbing Sj. Heating Plant was commissioned in 1964 and the gas-heated plant delivers district heating to 1.845 consumers on a daily basis. In 2014, the plant which is one of the larger ones in Denmark brought in a 20.000 m2 solar heating system which provides the consumers with solar heated water.
Klaus Hansen has been Plant Manager since 2007. With the new solar heating system, the plant has got a new way of producing electricity and Klaus Hansen especially benefits from Energi Danmark’s forecasts for solar radiation which help him plan the production.

Even though the certification only lasted a year, Klaus Hansen is very pleased with the fact that Energi Danmark always explores new opportunities for earnings.
